"Abkhazia never was a country," - Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili said in his interview with "Moscow's Echo".
"Abkhazia is not a country. It never was a country - here was the only country - Georgia. Abkhazia is not a country, this is an occupied part of Georgia from which the best part of Abkhazia fled, "- Saakashvili said.
"We understand all pretensions of Abkhazians, but we have to understand that this is a part of Abkhazians who live here as refugees, "- Georgian President said.
