The Parliamentary majority asserts the Armenian side is ready to give the same legal status to Georgian Church as it grants to Armenian Churches. Mikheil Machavariani, Vice Spokesperson, leader of majority in Parliament said commenting the legal status of religious organizations in Georgia.
"The Armenian Church representatives were assuring us that they will give the same status to Georgian Church, "- MP said. After Garegin II, Patriarch of All Armenians returned to Armenia he agreed with the Armenian government about possibility of granting the same status to Georgian Church. Mahavariani as well noted that the Concordant concluded with Georgian Church by Georgian government includes promise to support Georgian Church in getting a legal status in other countries.
