On July 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Rustavi Public Service Hall, U.S. Ambassador John R Bass, with Georgia's Minister of Justice Zurab Adeishvili and Chairman of the Chamber of Control Levan Bezhashvili will officially launch the $16 million "Good Governance in Georgia" (G3) program.

G3 aims to improve the institutional efficiency of all levels of government in providing improved services to citizens, while promoting communication channels between government institutions and stakeholders. The G3 program will also work with Georgia's Chamber of Control to ensure transparency and accountability in public spending and will provide grants to local civil society organizations for watchdog and monitoring purposes to ensure the active participation of the citizenry in the decision-making processes.
USAID/Caucasus Mission Director Jonathan Conly, Deputy Minister of Justice Giorgi Vashadze, Chairman of the Rustavi Sakrebulo Kakha Gurgenidze, various other public officials from central and municipal government agencies, and international and local nongovernmental organizations will attend the event.
