The Georgian Government approved the strategy on the occupied territories. After the government sitting Temuri Iakobashvili, Reintegration Minister said to journalists that starting form today his Office will work under the strategy action plan.
"We will accomplish the development of the action plan to the end of June. We are inviting political circles to participate in its final development, " - Iakobashvili said.
What about the strategy itself, the document is a comprehensive one. The document contains all those directions and themes in which the government is going to work in connection in these territories.
"We are facing the open, evident aggression and occupation of our country. We are facing the danger that Russia may annex these territories. The document is about plans of our government in connection with the S.O. and Abkhazia. We are repeating that the deoccupation of territories must be carried out only through peaceful ways. We do not wish a war, we are not preparing for the war. The military way is not a solution. We consider that the state strategy will promote seriously the peaceful deoccupation of these territories, " - Iakobashvili said.
As well he said that we are against any isolation - the population living on the Abkhazian territory is a Georgian population as well, and the Georgian government will not allow its isolation.
"We cannot allow this and we are going to carry out the active policy for the supplying with the normal education the population living in the occupied territories; with the health care system , include them in economic and cultural projects which are provided in the other territory of Georgia, " - the state minister said. He believes that the inclusion in such projects of Abkhazians and Ossetians is very important as well .
