Unfortunately we are not surprised with the active work of Russian intelligence. They are trying to perform its work on the Georgian-controlled territory and mostly on the occupied territory. This is a sad reality, "- Giga Bokeria, Security head said in response to the question of Russian journalist's question form "Ogonyok". He was asked by journalist that the detention of photo reporters seems like too much for Georgian government.
Bokeria as well said that the guilt incriminated to the photo reporters will be decided over the Court.
"I will not go deeper into the facts of this case against these people. I knew them very well, and only the Court will decided if they are guilty. Two of them were public employees, one of them was very close to the President - these were his own photographer who spent many times with President. We all knew him very well, that's why this fact is very unpleasant, "- Bokeria said. He noted that Georgia's face will not suffer for this case as a courtly with restricted freedom of speech.
He said that its detention is not connected with the May 26 protest action. He said simply Georgia is a country were Russian tax payers' money are spent for the open espionage, that we are not surprised with the well known fact.
