The USA considers as a main obstacle for the economic development in Georgia the insufficient progress in Supremacy of Law, but not the possible dangers from Russian Federation.
WikiLeaks informs that over revealing the phone conversation of President Saakashvili and Tina Keidenau. She said except of the insufficient supremacy of law the other obstacle of the economic development in the country named an internal political unstable situation. Saakashvili in turn said that the reforms are the process which is pending continuously. He said that in Georgia are many young Judges who have good salaries but need more education and integration to the West for improvement of the Justice system in Georgia. He said that President was not participating the appointment process of Judges.
The internet edition as well revealed that at the same meeting on September 25 of 2009 keidenau stressed the quality of Georgian media, ad was interested what could be done from USA in support of this area.
Saakashvili said that the main problem is that journalists are not speaking English and are very restricted in its activity. Heas well said that the Georgian journalists misunderstood the basic role of the free press. He expressed his hope that the further contacts with the West will help to overcome this problem.
