The Georgian law enforcers probably will establish the monitoring council in the penitential system. The initiative belongs to the political movement Solidarity for Illegal Prisoners. Leader of this movement Eka Beselia announced this today at the conference summarizing monitoring in human rights defense which was held in Sheraton Metechi Palace today.
"The aim of the Council will be to strengthen the civil observation over the penitential system o promote the human rights defense, to establish the preventive mechanisms, to give the possibility for the public to take part in decision making process, " - Eka Beseli said.
