The Georgian government will open the legal pleading against the famous Georgian footballer Kakhi Kaladze.
Dmitri Dzadnidze, deputy Justice Minister said to GHN, the government will open the legal case against the company "Arsenal", which belongs to Kaladze.
The "Arsenal City" did not fulfilled obligations before the government and consequently the government will start the legal pleading and will act in accordance with the legislation, "- Deputy Justice Ministers said.
The negotiations for the pay off the sum of money from Kaladze are pending already 2 years but the investor and the government up to today are not able to agree. The government signed the agreement with Arsenal City in 2008. According to the agreement the investor was to pay USD 38 mn, and for the 2016 - USD 700 mn.
Kaladze was to pay before the December of 2008 USD 38 mn 20 thousand, but instead he paid 18 mn 10 thousand. Daily the fine for nonpayment lays for him and reached 19 mn. After the war of 2008 Kaladze asked the government to postpone the payment. Some time ago Kaladze said that at the background of the world economic crisis the project implementation in Arsenal City has no sense.
According to the project "Arsenal City was to became a multifunctional unit, were the houses, recreation sets and offices were to be placed, as well the governmental offices.
