Mikheil Saakashvili, President of Georgia attended the region of Georgia in Sartichala. He met with farmers who were participating in the governmental program and planted the American kind of the wheat - Jager.
"This year the harvest increased two times. We can in two years period to cover 35% of our demand for the wheat," - Mikhail Saakashvili said.
He said that the present Georgian government is an agrarian government. No bigger importance business is than to feed people, he noted. "We have to use our best resources and the agriculture technique. We have to take the maximal amount of the harvest from each hectare. Moving with such speed for the 2015 no empty land will be left in Georgia. This is a plan for our modernization. The Agriculture has a leading role in our country."
