Georgian national, Tamta Liparteliani, who was considered lost since the horrific terror act on Norway`s island of Utoyea, was found among the dead today. The report about the girl`s death was made a few minutes ago. The parents of the girl arrived in Oslo yesterday to search for their daughter themselves. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia announced the sad news at the briefing today and expressed her condolences to the family of the girl.
`Unfortunately, our most undesirable presumptions have turned out real - the girl has been identified among the dead. We have been cooperating with the Norwegian law enforcers since the terror attack occurred and they have had serious problems regarding the identification of the corpse. Yesterday, they requested finger prints of the girl and we promptly sent biometric data to the colleagues. Afterwards it was confirmed that the girl was among the dead,` Nino Kalandadze said.
The Foreign Ministry of Georgia hopes the Norwegian side will assist them in the transfer of the girl`s corpse from Norway to Georgia.
