On August 1, at 15:00 the Human Rights Information and Documentation Center will hold a press conference concerning the human rights violations against journalist Miriam Otarashvili. The Press Conference will be held in the HRIDC office, Tbilisi.
Miriam Otarashvili said the pressure over her and treats started in 2009 November-February, when the Akhalgori governor Zurab Pitskhelauri came to the newspaper "Resonance" and advised her to write the articles "properly".
Otarashili said the article touched activity of Akhalgori governor and for this she was treated from him over making bad publications against her. She was abused verbally from the governor.
The HRIDC applied to the Procurator's Office General for appropriate measures in this case.
