Georgia and Azerbaijan are friendly nations for a very long period of time. This friendship has a big history and passed trough the serious challenges, Mikhail Saakashvili said, GHN reports.
The special edition of the journal The Business Year - Azerbaijan 2011», published the comments of Georgian President concerning this question. The journal is dedicated to the 20 years anniversary of Azerbaijan's independence, the 1news.az reports.
"Georgia and Azerbaijan should stay alongside to help each other, taking in view of our geographic situation and common history. We are sharing the common viewpoint; we have very strong ties. E can create a better future fore our countries. Both countries have similar problems with undecided conflicts. Following this the every opponent o Azerbaijan o Georgia is a common enemy for both our nations. Our strength is in our unity this is not only words this is a reality.
In January of 2008 when Georgia was left without electricity and gas supply Azerbaijan helped us in that cold winter, at the expense of own population. Georgia will not forget this support, "- President Saakashvili said.
