During the armed conflict in Georgia in August of 2008 Russia performed the part of military actions on the territory of Azerbaijan. Nevertheless the President and his surrounding are silent about this action. Oldirim Mamedov, Military Analytical research Institute Director in Baku said this in his interview with the Azerbaijani TV Company "Objective TV".
Expert noted that the Russia has rent the Gabal radio-electricity Station. This exploitation as well denotes that at this territory 1400 Russian militaries are located. This event is estimated as a "very negative".
"To the oil pipe line Baku-Tbilisi-Ceikhan which is at the Western side of Azerbaijan 12 bombs fall. Four out of 12 exploded, "- expert said and noted that Russian militaries are considering the Georgian territory and as well Azerbaijani territory as a part of RF which was detached.
"For Russians Caucasus is most sensitive region. For this reasons the most act part of its Amy is dislocated not in the West but in the South part. Russia still imagines that it is a super state and tries to return territories, "- Mamedov said.
