The TV-Radio Center's owner's name is not known up to now. The Economic and Sustainable Development Ministry makes secret the owner's name, the object was sold at 17:00. At the same time at the web page www.eauction.ge the information is placed according to which the Tbilisi TV-Radio Center owner is a person who paid for this object GEL 110 000.
The Ltd. Alpha Com was passed with 100% shares over the electronic auction. Only one participant of the auction was there. The company will perform investments in USD 12 mn during the 4 years. The object has a debit in GEL 6 988 202, and a credit debt in GEL 2 917 158.
For information, the TV Center was renamed to the Ltd Alpha Com a few months ago. It encompassed 35 TV and 34 Radio channels. The opposition, NGOs and part of the public were protesting against this decision. They believe that the sale of this object will restrain the freedom of media and will be used as a pressure over it. They demand to suspend the privatization and to make public all provisions of the dealing.
