The Georgian side said that Russia made a provocative step when initiated in Duma for ratification the Customs regulations with Abkhazia.
Sergey Kapanadze, Deputy Foreign Minister said that the document initiated in Duma t the time when the question of Russia's WTO membership is on agenda with Georgia's veto on this matter. This denotes that Russia is not willing to negotiate with Georgia.
"Russia made one more provocative step. Such actions will not be helpful for Russian Federation to become a member of WTO, "- Kapanadze said in conversation with RFE RL. At the same time Georgia's disposition to the question is quite constructive and it wishes to accomplish the dialogue with positive outcome, nevertheless it is difficult to make prognosis at this stage.
"Everything depends on Russia's willingness to enter WTO and accordingly weightier is Moscow ready for some compromises."
For information, the fourth round of negotiations for WTO membership was held on July 28 and reopen in September.
