Azerbaijan has 5 month to think out what ways to use for gas supply to Europe. It is up to Azerbaijan how the Nabucco project ill be realized and to what extent the Russia's influence over the Europe will be decreased. The Wall Street Journal wrote an article dedicated to this.
The pike of the oil mining in Azerbaijan will be passed away in several years. For the future development the gas plays the main role now. At the same time Baku became an influential center. This is important for Europe as well. The Europe will be totally dependent upon the gas supply , as Italian Germany already refused to use atomic power plants, The Wall Street Journal informs.
At the same time Azerbaijan till the end of the year has to choose the long term customer for his gas which is obtained from Shah Deniz. AT the international conference the Azerbaijani President said that the Azerbaijani gas will be exported to the Europe, but he did not say what ways will be used for this. Azerbaijan has several alternate variants.
The EC supports the Nabuco project, as this is very powerful project. This will allow EU to be free from RF dependence partially.
