Russia and Georgia economic relations should change with the regulation of diplomatic ones. This might happen when Georgia will lift pretensions for the WTO membership, Medvediev said in his interview with journalists.
Russia is not about to make compromises in questions which are demanded by Georgian party. It is the joint control over the Gantiadi-Adler customs check point and Rocki customs Check point. Medvediv said Moscow is not ready to do this.
"Such changes are too much high price for WTO. But if Georgia will be wise enough, this will be one of the touching points were we can to regulate our economic relations and after this even diplomatic relations could be possible, " - Russian leader said.
"Our Georgian colleagues are trying to put forwards the political problems - who controls what at the check points. Let's call there the EU. Our position is simple. If you wish to know the transit goods movement information at the Abkhazian and South Ossetia territories, we re ready to pass such information over the electronic data... this was agreed with Swiss President, yesterday I was talking about this with Obama. In this respect we are ready to agree with Swiss suggestions, " - Medvediev said.
