Representative of Georgian Party member of political council Sopho Khorguani responds to the declaration of Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri who said that the at the London, Warsaw and New York stocks the Georgian gas block of shares should be placed.
Sopho Khorguani said the shares will be of such kind when the shareholder will not be able to interfere with the ruling of the company directly. Nevertheless she said that 25% of shares will be still placed here again and the controlling block of shares might appear in the hands of one person.
These actions indicate that the government is in the financial crisis and needs the additional resources. She recalls that several years ago Saakashvili when expressed such intention was seriously confronted by the Western political circles.
Today the government manipulates with these blocks of shares, and says to the West: if you do not wish these shares to appear in the hands of Russian businessmen, then you should buy them.
Khorguani said that nowadays the Saakshvil's government is desperate for the money, but the placing of shares to the Western stocks does not mean that they will not be accessible for Russian capital.
