Sopho Khorguani, member of the political party Georgian Party said that refugees were oppressed for the second time. Now the Georgian government makes its repulsion from the settled living place. Sopho Khorguani said commenting the eviction of refugees from the hotel Abkhazia that government has no basis to complain that refugees were settled in this building initially without the permission.
The government itself violates the legislation when not fulfilling the governmental decree No 47 of 2007 February 2 "About the governmental strategy towards refugees". For the preparation of the document itself a sum of money were spent allocated from the international organizations, "- she said at the press conference.
She said according to the document the refuges were allowed to make privatization of the buildings were they are settled with prices lower than market price is. Nevertheless this was not the case.
She as well recalls the words of President which he said in 2007 November 29: ‘this is a task. We passed to refugees all places which now are in the state ownership.' Moreover in 2007 December 1 Saakshvili promised to refugees that for the 2008 January 5 at the presidential elections ‘everything will be all right, and we all will get tickets in direction Tbilisi-Sokhumi route.'
"Looks like these people will not get tickets to the Tbilisi-Sokhumi train during the presidency of Saakashvili. Instead they were given tickets Tbilisi-Nowhere, because these people did not know where to go with such compensation, "- Khorguani said.
