Irakli Alasania, leader of Free Democrats addressed to Nika Gilauri, Prime Minister with open letter. He is against the sale of several strategic objects in Georgia. These objects are The Georgian Railway, Electricity systems, Gas and Oil Corporation and others 15-25% shares are to be placed on London and Warsaw stocks. This will e too risky for the Georgian market Alasania believes despite for the foreign countries this practice is usual one. Moreover the world economic crisis may put its additional risk to this event.
Alasania underlined that taking all this into consideration all strategic objects are in the people's ownership and not in ownership of government or some political party. We consider that the Georgian population deserves to be informed about the sale of its strategic objects. This would be contrary to the interests of Georgian people, Alasania said.
