The Georgian party denies the information of Turkish party about Georgian sheep died as a result of illness in Turkey.
The Georgian Sheep Association Chair Beqa Gonashvili said that sheep were not exported to Turkey. As well no documentation exists about the exporting of animals to Turkey. The Sheep Association Chair said sheep were transferred to Turkey illegally. This is punishable under the Georgian law. He said that Georgian sheep have no any illness.
IN conversation with GHN he noted that usually the infectious diseases are spread from Turkey to Georgia and from Armenia to Georgia, but not contrary.
For information the Turkish internet edition disseminates the information as if 300 sheep transported from Georgia died as a result of disease.
