According to the declaration of the Russian Partiarch Kirill, the Georgian and Russian Churches have to make every effeort to forget the hard period of confrontation between two states.
Russian Patriarch Kirill talked as well about the importance of relations of Russian-Georgian Churches during his statement for the 2010.
"Churches have to make every effort, (and they are making every effort) to forget the hard period of confrontation between two states, and to establish peace in the Caucasus, " - Kirill said.
At the same time Partiarch said that when diplomatic relations between Russia and Georgia fail, the exceptional role have contacts between these two Churches.
"This is a connecting tie between nations of common faith, " - Russian Patriarch said.
