Culture Minister Nikoloz Rurua said that the Art Director of Rustaveli State Theatre was dissmised for his statements against the national minorities.
"This is a question of principles, the dismissal of Robert Sturua form the post of Art Director. The society where the many ethnic people live and is many cultural cannot reconcile with the xenophobia and will not finance it. I mean those expressions, the metaphors on the ethnic ground which he used to tell in his interviews," - Nika Rurua said today in Batumi at the briefing.
He said this decision of his dismissal was not easy to take for him and as well was unpleasant. But he believes that the xenophobia is not admissible in the democratic society.
"Moreover if this was already the hard lesson for Georgia. The dividing of the nations and the dividing of the people by the classes was the case at the time of USSR, what Bolsheviks did. This was the case with fascists as well, "- Minister said.
