Giorgi Tughushi, Defender said the recommendation for the pardoning got half of the 220 prisoners. After the Pardoning Commission sitting he said to journalists 10 women and 3 underage were pardoned.
"The commission totally reviewed 220 prisoners' cases. The recommendation for pardoning got 10 women and 3 underage. There are 15-20 cases which were recommended for release before the expiration of the sentence term. The commission tried to find out those cases where prisoners are severely ill, especially with the tuberculosis, "- Tuhushi said.
President will pardon the prisoners selected by the Pardoning Commission for August 28.
