Kakha Gogolashvili, expert in international questions said NATO successfully accomplished his mission in Libya. Simply the process is prolonged, but this is not a fault of the organization.


"The aims which NATO has envisaged are fulfilled. Simply the public expected that the operation will be finished speedily. Nevertheless this was restricted under the NATO mandate. The organization has no right to conduct the full scale operation in Libya and was not aimed for the overthrowing of Gaddafi regime. The NATO simply banned the violent killing of own citizens performed by the Kaddafi regime. NATO destroyed the military infrastructure, "- Kakha Gogolashvili said to GHN.

In this context expert said that in Libya the current civil war is prolonged in time but this is not a fault of the NATO. "It is not right to talks about the weakness of NATO. The other question is the weakness of all Western politics in connection wit the Libyan events.
