The Memorial of Glory will be installed in commemoration of those who dies in 1924 riot.
The City Hall announced a competition for the best project of the memorial at 87 anniversaries. The memorial will be installed in Vake Park at the place where the Communist regime shot Col. Kote Abkhazi and his division.
Gigi Ugulava, Mayor said such memorable dates we have to mark, as they are the main part of Georgian history.
"Namely this was a reason to install the memorial I this place, were the rioters were shot," - Ugulav said. The installation of the memorial is planned for 2012 February.
According to the unofficial data the riot against Communist regime victimized 12 000 people.
