The USA does not recognize a legitimacy of Presidential elections in Abkhazia.
Official Representative of USA State Department Victoria Nuland declared this.
"We are underlining once again that we are supporting the territorial integrity of Georgian Republic and its sovereignty in its internationally recognized borders, "- Nuland said.
Nuland as well said that USA does not recognize the so-called Presidential elections conducted in Abkhazia on August 26. She as well recalls the Russian Federation to fulfill its obligations under the 208 cease-fire agreement and to withdraw armed forces from the Georgian territory; to allow the humanitarian missions to the occupied territories.
