Between Russia and Georgia new confrontation may arise. This may cause the final break down of still existing diplomatic ties. The Russian Newspaper "Comersant" wrote based on considerations of Russian experts.
The reason for the strained situation is a sale by the Official Moscow of the Hotel "Tbilisi" and the leasing problems with the Georgian Consulate in Russian Federation.
The "Comersant" informs that the actions of Russian Federation caused a responsive measures form Georgian side. Particularly the call of for the employees forms Georgian Consulate in Moscow. AS well they expel Russian diplomats from the Swiss Embassy in Georgia who represent Russia's interests section. This will be a responsive step from the Georgian side for the sale of the hotel "Tbilisi" in Moscow.
The law enforcing bodies said that from 1974 the building belonged to Georgian Republic's Cabined for Georgian delegations usage. The change of the owner for this building 5 years ago happened on the background of anti Georgian campaign after Georgia expelled 5 Russian officers with espionage charges.
The position of Georgian Foreign Ministry in connection with the sale of the hotel was announced by Nino Kalandadze, Deputy Foreign Minister. She noted the Georgian side is not wiling to sue Russia for this occasion and will act over Swiss Embassy.
Experts say it is possible that the three-side agreement between Russia, Georgia and Switzerland about the "interests' section in Swiss embassy" may be abolished.
