The Amendments to the Elections Code were sent to Venice Commission on August 26. Pavle Kublashvili, parliamentary majority leader said this today at a parliamentary bureau sitting.
"In August three readings of the Bill were held. We discussed all notions from political parties. They touched financing questions, observers' rights and other issues. The final document was already sent to the Venice Commission, "- Kublashvili said.
He said, there are questions which are not defined to the end (for instance the question of independent majoritarians). Nevertheless if political parties will express its interest it is still possible to take decision over them.
He as well noted that at the beginning of October the Venice Commission will visit Georgia.
