The West pressed Georgia to express good will for the Russia's WTO membership till the end of the year, GHN reports.
"Most likely some agreement was concluded and a serious pressure from the West was performed. We in most cases cannot say exactly what happens. We can say that a very strong pressure was made upon Georgia for Russia's affiliation. However Russia as well was pressed from the West for some concessions. We are not aware yet what compromises Russia will make. But the fact is that Russia did it, as the Georgian government representatives expressed its content in this respect, "- Mamuka Areshidze, political scientist said in conversation with GHN.
He supposes that sooner or later Russia will become a member of this organization.
