Eka Beselia asked Chief Procurator to make responsive measures in connection with the unlawful dispersion of metallurgic workers protest action in Kutaisi. She asked him to react to the fact of its detention.
Beselia said metallurgic workers who protested on September 15 at the fabric "Hercules" wer illegally deprived of its freedom. Some incidents happen during a protest action and police detained one part of protesters. They were kept for several hours in the Kutaisi city internal affairs building and were forced to sign statements that will not continue the strike.
At the moment of its detention persons were not explained the reasons for its detention, as well no legal document was drafted concerning its presence in the building of the Regional Internal Affairs. Beselia said this was an explicit violation of basic human rights guarantied by the ECHR
