The Israeli Embassy expressed its concern over the inhuman and degrading treatment towards imprisoned in Georgia Israeli businessmen Ronny Fux and Zev Frenkel. According to the information disseminated by the Israeli embassy, the embassy sent a note of protest to the Georgian Justice Ministry, Corrections and Legal Assistance Ministry, Foreign Ministry and Public Defender.
For information, Israeli citizens were detained by Georgian law enforcers in Batumi on October 14 with allegation in bribery attempt of government high rank. They were sentenced for 6-7 years of imprisonment and a fine several weeks ago.
