Thousands of citizens and guests of Georgia are assembling in Freedom square to listen to the public speeches to be delivered by Georgian and French presidents in the centre of the Tbilisi. Nicolas Sarkozy is expected to arrive in Georgia`s capital in about an hour.
Along with private citizens, politicians and representatives of the authorities have also started to arrive at the square.
Unprecedented security measures have been taken in Tbilisi due to the French president`s visit. Citizens as well as guests and journalists arriving at the square are undergoing a security check.
Two media centers are opened in Tbilisi due to Sarkozy`s upcoming visit. One is in the Courtyard Marriott Hotel and the other is in the European House. Bothe of the centers is equipped with computers and monitors.
Journalists from different countries of the world are covering the visit of the French president to Georgia. Hundreds of reporters have already gathered in the media centers.
