The operation for forcing Georgia to the peace showed that Russia has a fighting-able Army which can make an order and to make responsible any force, Dmitry Medvediev, Russian President said.
"Despite the problems in Armed forces, we still have an Army which has can fight, which can make an order and to call to the responsibility any force, "- Medvediev said in Saturday at the meeting with his colleagues, RIA Novosti informs.
Medvedied said nevertheless, the decision taken in 2008 August was not easy one. "Any person has emotions which sometimes difficult to hide. For me, as a young leader, this was a very big challenge, "- he noted that many times afterwards he analyzed his actions.
According to him "this is a burden to take decision of such type. And this burden lays upon one person... and whatsoever to happen; he will be blamed or contrary thanked."
He said from this hard situation all got lessons for the future. Russia came out of the situation with dignity. In connection with Georgian conflict most part of Russian citizens considered that actions of Russian government are reasonable and motivated.
