The USA Embassy in Georgia watches closely after the events which are developing around Bidzina Ivanishvili, businessmen-turned-politician, John Baas, USA Ambassador said to journalists, GHN reports.
Concerning the diplomats' meeting with Ivanishvili, Baas said that all questions will be reviewed with the Georgian government.
"Bidzina Ivanishvili is relatively new figure in the politics. T the meeting very important declarations were made about accusations in whch he is charged. We are closely watching the events and if necessary we will discuss the questions with Georgian government, "- Baas said.
He as well noted that it is very important that the Georgian population would get the information not from the USA Ambassador but from Ivanishvili himself. He noted that the accessibility for the information is very important. People should make own conclusions concerning the events which happen for the last two weeks. "Very important is to conduct negotiations in a peaceful format and in equal arms, "- Baas said.
