If Russian Federation will not agree to the decisions taken this time, it would be clear that Russia is not willing at all to adhere to the principles of the WTO, Giorgi Baramidze, vice Prime Minister made this statement. He noted this denotes that Russia is willing to obtain some exclusive rights in this organization, but this is not acceptable.
Baramidze said that for Georgia it is important, the international organizations to take control over the trade process at the Georgian -Russian border. It is very important to conduct the truth monitoring process at this place.
"Once we made a compromise, we need now to put our Georgian Customs officers at the border. Nevertheless, we understand that the situation today is not favorable for such decision. That's why we tried to be compromising, as this affiliation to the WTO in our interests is as well. We need Russia to obey at least the minimal demands and rules of the organization, "- Baramidze said.
He noted that at the border the situation should be transparent.
