Political scientist Ramas Sakvarelidze said that in area of Russia's WTO entry talks, Georgian side reached an optimal result. The Georgian party's actions in this respect were upraised realistically.
"The actions of Georgian side at the WTO talks were realistic one. Economies experts said that for Georgian party would be very difficult to gain political scores in these negotiations. IN case if Georgian party would hinder too much the entry process, this would lead to loose of desirable partners and its dissatisfaction. So, we can say that the result is an optimal one. There would not be possible to return Abkhazia and South Ossetia over such negotiations format, " - Sakvarelidze said. He underlined that the rights of Georgian Republic were recognized within the internationally recognized state borders of a state.
"I would say that this is already a big success for such type of negotiations," - he said.
For information, Georgia and Russia reached an agreement concerning the Russia's WTO entry. The actual agreement was reached concerning the cargo monitoring at Abkhazian and S.O. borders. Namely the trade relations of Russian Federation with these breakaway republics for Georgian party were sticking point at the WTO talks.
