At his meeting in Court Yard Marriot with NGO representatives Bidzina Ivanishvili said that his strategy will be to study how to take part in elections.
"Several times I had expressed my readiness to be a strategic partner for the civil society after my activity in the politics (and I hope this period of being in politics will not be too long, as we will reach the aim). I am going to stay in the civil sector. My strategy will be to study the participation in elections; the proper conduction of elections; how to defend a rule of law; how to demand from government to be responsible before the population, but not contrary, as it is the case nowadays," - Ivanishvili said. He noted that he took this decision long before.
"I would to express this position long before, but after 2003, as the most part of Georgian population I made a mistake," - he said.
Ibanishvili noted that the government tries to frighten the people to make them passive, and they partially succeeded in this respect.
‘We should make people more active against those illegal actions which are happening now in the country. We should weaken this repressive machine."
