Andres Fogh Rasmussen, NATO Secretary General said that Georgia for NATO is as important as NATO for Georgia is.
He said three years ago at the Bucharest summit a clear declaration was made, that Georgia will enter NATO. Georgia should continue those reforms which as necessary for NATO membership.
He underlined that many things already have been done for closer relations with NATO, but still much more work is necessary. That's why he cannot say definitely, when Georgia will became a NATO member. This depends upon the progress of the country.
