The resolution passed by EP touches a question of Georgia's associative membership to EU, the recommendations to Georgia in this respect.
The resolution particularly states that the sovereign state has a right to choose independently the foreign relations direction. The document mentions a term ‘occupation', as well ethnic cleansing and the human rights violations are burden of responsibility of the occupant country. The EP calls to the EU institutions to start negotiations about the agreement on free trade immediately and to exploit all necessary machinery to put forward the visa free regime.
