The resolution passed by EP concerning Georgia, indicates that the occupational Russian Federation's authorities are guilty in committed crime against humanity, President Saakashvili said in his address to the population, GHN reports.
President said that he avoids usually the live and press conferences but this time he could not restrict himself so important was a resolution passed by EP.
"This resolution has a historic importance and is a decisive for us in our fight for the final release of Georgian Republic from occupation and for the democratic European future for our country."
The most influential European body stated that the occupation happens in Georgia, Saakashvili said. He is sure that after such declaration, Europe never recognize the legality for Georgia's dividing. President said that the document passed factually accused Russian Federation in ethnic cleansing and crime against humanity.
"The Russian authorities are accused in the war crime. After the happening in Balkan states no such events occurred elsewhere. The last was a Nurnberg and the international tribunal in Hague followed against Miloshevich and others."
Saakashvili underlined that after the occupation, a reoccupation follows usually and the war criminals are liable before the law.
"EP recognizes the right of Georgian Republic for Euro integration and a perspective to became a EU member."
