Giorgi Baramidze, vice-Prime Minister declared that it is a time that some Western politicians to open eyes to pay attention to the events in Russian Federation, he declared this in his exclusive interview with EurActive. He believes that the Eurasian Union will be much like the modernized USSR.

‘The Eurasian Union is a real demonstration of intentions of Putin. Long time before we warned our Western partners that Putin noted the destruction of the USSR was a biggest tragedy of XX century. He demonstrates with his policy that he wishes to restore the USSR or similar establishment. Now they are openly talking about this. So, it is a time for some Western politicians to open its eyes to the events in Russia and to pay attention to the "modernization of this union". The Eurasian Union will be a modernized USSR. This denoted the Russian Federation will return lands and spheres of influence broadening. The name will be changed but not the nature of the union. West did not put pressure over Russia for this intention. Russia in turn can use such methods as trickery and threatening for drugging countries into the union, "- Baramidze said in his interview, foreign press informs.
