International Republican Institute has published results of a new social survey conducted in Georgia from October 27 to November 11, 2011. Four thousand respondents were interrogated within the survey, the results of which were as follows:
42% of the respondents say they will vote for the United National Movement if the parliamentary elections were held tomorrow; 18% answered they will for Ivanishvili`s political team, 8% - Christian Democratic Movement, 3% - Labor Party and under 1% -other parties.
According to the survey, the leader of the Christian Democratic Movement Giorgi Targamadze gained 22% of votes among the opposition leaders; Bidzina Ivanishvili follows with 21%, Shalva Natelashvili - with 4% and Irakli Alasania - with 3%.
The ratings of sympathies to political leaders have been also shown in the survey - 72% of the respondents have sympathies towards president Saakashvili.
Other questions of the survey referred to various topical problems in the country, in which unemployment turned out most painful for the respondents; next was the problem of territorial unity, economics and social problems.
98% of the interviewees say that they did not pay bribe during past one year to get desired service at official structures
