Russia is afraid entering of Georgian Republic to NATO will push Georgian authorities to repeat the 2008 war, GHN reports.
Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minster of Russian Federation declared on December 8 at the Russia-NATO sitting in Brussels. The Foreign Minister said Georiga was mentioned in NATO communike, as a state which has an aspiration to NATO. Lavrov expressed his dissatisfaction in this respect, noting that he warned his colleagues in NATO that such step can push Gerogia to repeat the August 2008 war events.
Lavrov believes that the events in 2008 developed after Bukharest summit which stated that Georiga will definitely enter NATO.
Lavrov, said he hopes that NATO will take more responsibility for its encouragement for the event of such type.
