On December 8 the IRI social survey made public, according to which a rating of governmental team and Ivanishvili are almost equal. GHN interviewed Ramaz Sakvarelidze on this question.
- On December 11 the presentation of Georgian Dream will be conducted. Your opinion on this matter, and emerging of new political party at the arena?
- The Georgian Dream will not enter the political area directly. This is a public movement not political one. Nevertheless, with the political hue. Moreover, in the circumstances when Ivanishvili do not posses any other lever for influence. If any political party will emerge in the future out of the movement we will talk about it.
-According to the social surveys and analysis center researches, among the political parties, governmental team and the Ivalishvili's team are leaders. If such tendency will continue what will follow out of it?
- In such case I would recite the opinion of Gia Khukhashvili. He said it would be better if some third forcedoes exist. It would balance the situation. Nevertheless, Chritian-Democrates are trying to tie remained political parties to the third political force. Saakashvili and Ivanishvili got approximately 30% each. However I am in doubt if Christian-Democrats would manage to gather remained 30 % of supporters.
- 52.8% of questioned believe that Ivanishvili's appearance into politics will change the situation to the better. What could we expect in this case?
- He made a maximal change with his appearance in poetics whatsoever could happen. The disposition of people changed. As he is not actually in politics. Next change depend upon people's support to Ivanishvili. The government will change in its nature, the National Movement will not be able to elect Prime Minister by own wish only having 50% support. They will be forced to complete the executive branch with other political forces. This will be a novelty for the Georgia's reality. One political force will not be able to implement what it wishes. The compromises with other political forces will be unavoidable. This is a many party system.
-Do you think Ivanishvili will attract governmental supporters?
- This is evident. 3% of government -loyal people are at Ivanishvili's side. This figure will even increase.
- 75.7% believe that the replacement of the government over elections possible. Do you believe fair elections will be conducted?
- The replacement of the government over elections is possible if sufficient energy will be given for this fight.
- If after elections the same forces will remain at the power should we expect any revolutionary movements?
- It is hard to predict. We have one more year for this. I think many things will happen.
- Are early elections expected for the future?
- Most likely not. The forces are 50-50. Government will not be willing to conduct early elections. One detail is for government to decide the question of majority MPs. The majority MPs fate may decide the Parliament's nature.
