The CoE representative delegation arrived to Georgia. The members of CoE arrived last night to open the initiative "Partnership for mobility", the Georgia- EU cooperation. At the moment they are conducting meetings in the Georgian Foreign Ministry. The Georgian party is presenting an account on the migration problems in Georgia. The parties will discuss as well the partnership plan in the frames of the initiative - "Partnership for mobility". This document stipulates definite measures and the particular bodies which are responsible for the cooperation.
The initiative "partnership for mobility" will promote the cooperation for the legal employment opportunity of Georgian citizens in EU member countries. It will be possible as well by the means of so called "circular migration". This scheme provides for Georgian citizens the legal opportunity for temporary employment, study and training in EU countries, with the following return to the homeland. The scheme as well stipulates the close cooperation with the Georgian Diaspora. This cooperation is one of the main elements for the future visa liberalization.
We remind you that the declaration "Partnership for mobility" was signed in 2009 on November 30 in Brussels. The document is signed by Georgia, CoE and those 16 member countries of the EU, which are included in the initiative ‘Partnership for mobility".
