The resolution was passed by European Parliament one day before the Russia-EU summit. The European Parliament calls Russian Federation to allow EU monitoring group to the occupied territories in Georgia.
According to the new resolution Russian Federation must immediately fulfill obligations under 6-point agreement on non-use of force. This denotes Russian Federation must withdraw occupational forces and let international observers to Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region.
The same resolution calls Russian Federation to conduct elections anew in Russian Federation. The EP declares elections in Russian Federation were faked totally; serious violations were taking place during the poll. The so-called ‘merry-go-round' technique was used for falsifying elections. Opposition activists were detained and elections boxes filled with faked bulletins. At the same time the Elections Code was not up to the EU standards.
