Today o December 18 the Orthodox Church marks the day of St. Saba. St. Saba Purified was a saint of V-VI century. He was born in 439 AD in Cappadocia.
He was a hermit who founded many orthodox churches and monasteries. He got an afflatus from God about the end of the times and asked to the Patriarch to be returned to Palestine in his Laura. He blessed the Brotherhood of the Laura and at the age of 94 on December 18 he deceased.
