Today on December 23, Nestan Kirtadze on behalf of the NGO "Georgian-Abkhazian and Abkhazian-Georgian House" over the Swiss Embassy passed the letter to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Grigory Karasin, Deputy Foreign Minister.
She is calling the Russian Federation to support the peacekeeping initiative and the movement "Georgian-Abkhazian & Abkhazian-Georgian House". This will be a presupposition for starting the direct bilateral dialogue between the parties.
She recalls her meeting with Lavrov in Tbilisi and the first conversation. The peaceful co-existence of Abkhazians and Georgians is unavoidable reality and we should make efforts to establish the basis for this - the bilateral dialogue, - she said. The trust should be restored between us. Now it is very important for us to get support from international organizations, EU and Russian Federation to establish the bilateral dialogue.
