Tamaz Diasamidze, member of Unity for Fairness demands to conduct the forthcoming parliamentary elections for 2012 May and the Presidential elections for 2012 January.
MP said the norm in existing constitution is contrary to the fundamental constitutional principles. This may be qualified as an exceeding of authority and is an ignorance of the all nation's ballot. He noted that the 2006December 27 constitutional amendments determined the presidential and parliamentary elections for October-December of 2008.
He said this decision parliament prolonged the term for 7-9 months, this followed by unprecedented protest of people. As a result is was decided that the elections would be held in constitutionally determined terms in spring. New terms for the elections should be determined in the constitution," - he said.
MP believes that the unlawful norm should be abolished in the constitution and the lawful terms for elections should be chosen.
Diasamidze applies to Georgian President, to Parliament's chair and to the majority fraction leader. He said that the lawful changes would be possible to make in one and half of a month.
